This year, we will serve approximately 1,475 tenants in 12 Plymouth
Housing Group buildings and through the Shelter-Plus-Care subsidy
program, a federal program that we administer on behalf of
King County.
Our diverse, multi-ethnic, multi-racial and multi-cultural tenant
community includes many single, formerly homeless adults who lack
any family support system. Compounding the constraints of
poverty, our tenant community includes the physically and mentally
disabled, persons living with AIDS, those who struggle with chemical
dependencies, veterans, and vulnerable, elderly adults. Our geographic
service area is Seattle, with a strong focus on the downtown core.
Since Plymouth began offering social services in 1994, the quality
of life for tenants increases dramatically as they become settled
and stable, and the community benefits by having fewer people
living on the streets or in shelters.
TESTIMONIALS
